Indonesian Global Internship Program (IGIP) 2024

To contribute support to this aspiration, the government carries out IGIP 2024. IGIP, which stands for International Global Internship Program, is a worldwide program that allows participants to work abroad for a specified amount of time. At present, IGIP 2024 is accepting registrations and looking for more qualified students to seize this valuable opportunity. Through an internship program at a particular company or organization overseas, IGIP 2024 offers students a chance to improve their skills further.

Eligibility

The following are the requirements you need to meet to apply for IGIP 2024:

  • An active undergraduate or vocational student of recognized universities in Indonesia under the Directorate of Higher Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
  • An Indonesian citizen who does not have dual citizenship.
  • Must be in the 4th – 6th semester.
  • Never have taken any college leave during their undergraduate study.
  • Having a minimum GPA of 3.0 proven by the latest academic transcript.
  • Possess a certificate proving that you took at least one of the following English proficiency tests: IELTS (min score 6.5), TOEFL-IBT (min score 79), or DET (min score 115).
  • A nominated student with an approved letter of recommendation from the head of the study program.
  • Must agree to not receive any living allowance from other funding/scholarship from Kemendikbudristek and LPDP during the IGIP program.
  • Must agree to not participate in more than 1 MBKM program when applying and during the IGIP program.
  • Must agree to not take any courses at your home university during the IGIP program.
  • Have no records of ever violating the laws in Indonesia.
  • Must commit to following all the existing rules and regulations mentioned while participating in the program.

Required Documents 

The following is a list of documents required to apply for IGIP 2024:

  • Letter of recommendation signed by the head of the study program on behalf of the vice-rector of academic affairs
  • Valid English proficiency test certificate: IELTS (min score 6.5), TOEFL-IBT (min score 79), or DET (min score 115)
  • Official academic transcript (in English)
  • Statement letter that shows clearance from narcotic, psychotropic, or other addictive substances from public health care or hospital
  • Police Clearance Certificate (SKCK)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Absolute statement of responsibility signed by parents/guardians and scholarship recipients
  • Video profile: 2-minute self-introduction describing the applicant, skills, and motivation

Timeline

The following is the timeline for IGIP 2024:

  • 17 – 30 Apr 2024: Application submission
  • 7 – 8 May 2024: Selection process
  • 16 May 2024: Announcement
  • 20 May – 28 June 2024: Pre-departure preparation
  • Sep – Dec: Program implementation
  • Dec 2024 – Jan 2025: Arrival in Indonesia and reporting

Program Journey 

These are the steps you will take while taking part in IGIP 2024:

  • Get to know the host company and conduct thorough research.
  • Get a letter of recommendation from your home university
  • Fill in the application form
  • Check the acceptance to the interview selection stage
  • Attend the selection interview as scheduled
  • Check the final announcement
  • Attend the pre-departure series
  • Attend the judicial
  • Departure to host company
  • Fill in the logbook and carry out assignments
  • Return to home university
  • Collect physical documents and get recognition of 20 credits (SKS) from your home university
